About Jade

"Health is not just being disease-free. Health is when every cell in your body is bouncing with JOY!" - Sadhguru

Welcome to 'a bit about me!' I'll try to keep it short and sweet here and cover as much as I need...

As the director and principle Physiotherapist at A to Z Physiotherapy, I (Jade Williams) are passionate about creating sustainable and healthy lifestyles so you can perform and feel your best. I value the importance of listening to your story, taking the time to make sure you understand what's going on and empowering you to take charge of your health journey. I particularly enjoy the 'complex' cases of general musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, foot/ankle injuries, and helping individuals of all ages and walks of life.

The performing arts have always been a huge part of my life, with over 10 years dance experience, as well as a passion for singing, playing musical instruments and love for drama productions. I identified the need to provide quality holistic Physiotherapy for all individuals and specialised healthcare for dancers and performing artists in the North Queensland region. So the dream became reality and A to Z Physiotherapy was born at the end of 2016!

After completing my Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University in 2014, I continue to attend various courses and conferences with health professionals and renown Dance Physiotherapists from around the world.

Keeping up with the latest research is important to give you the best advice. I am a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare, and the International Association for Dance Medicine and Science.

As well as working in private practice, I have also worked as a contract Physiotherapist for the Australian Defence Force and a tutor and educator at James Cook University for Physiotherapy and allied health students.

I love exploring the outdoors with my family and our dogs (camping, road trips, hiking). My hobbies include yoga, pottery, swimming, sewing, singing, slacklining, cooking and baking (rarely using the recipe book). As a nature lover and bare-foot bandit, I will find any excuse to take off my shoes! I am a dedicated lover of all things chocolate and enjoy a good chai latte.

I became a mother in 2022 and I'm loving this journey and being part of our daughter's adventures.
